Shred some Tires and Wheels in ‘Climbkhana: Pikes Peak’!

Ken Block Climbkhana

Another special from Ken Block.

When it comes to drifting and absolutely destroying tires and wheels, there are few as good as Ken Block. This adrenaline fueled drifter loves to go sideways and pull off some utterly insane stunts in his ‘Gymkhana’ driving videos. His latest feat was conquering Pikes Peak.

In the new ‘Climbkhana: Pikes Peak’, Ken Block takes his custom 1965 Ford Mustang dubbed ‘Hoonicorn RTR V2’ sideways and vertical up the legendary hill. The 1,400 horsepower, twin turbocharged, methanol fueled V-8 engine sends power to all four tires and wheels, and can easily make things spin with the push of the throttle.

The Pikes Peak International Hillclimb has played host to some of the most incredible hillclimb racing for years. Half of the 12.42 mile course with 156 turns used to be unpaved, however, today, all of it is paved with asphalt. Still, it makes for some incredible driving as racers struggle to keep all of their tires and wheels on the ground and not off the side of the mountain.

Ken Block pushed his Hoonicorn RTR V2 to its limit with both turbochargers spooling and whirring as the V-8 engine put down some serious power for all four tires and wheels to eat up. Ken Block didn’t race up the hill for the best time and instead opted to take the sideways route up the hill and leave his rubber marks all the way up.
