A power house with class.
The Mercedes-Benz CL-Class is an elegant two-door coupe that just oozes luxury and prestige. While it may fly under the radar among many grand tourers, its AMG variant packs a thundering German punch with its naturally-aspirated V-8 engine. This clean, black beauty with Niche Wheels grabs a bit more attention.
While the exterior of this Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG might be graceful and elegant, there’s a much more sinister character living beneath the sheetmetal. A potent hand-built 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-12 engine sits up front and lets out an intoxicating exhaust note from the quad rear tailpipes. The force fed engine produces 604 horsepower from 4,800 to 5,100 RPM and 738 lb-ft. of torque from 2,000 to 4,000 RPM. All that gets sent to the rear Niche Wheels through a five-speed automatic gearbox, allowing it to reach 62 mph from rest in just 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 155 mph (electronically limited).
That’s not exactly what you’d expect out of a car that looks classy and clean, but this Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG isn’t as subtle as the factory model thanks to new Niche Wheels.
For this model, new Niche Essen M147 cast monoblock rims were installed in a staggered setup. The Niche Wheels also wear a slick black finish that perfectly matches the body color of the Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG and adds a more intimidating presence.
Up front, the new Niche Essen M147 wheels come in at a 21 x 9.0 setup while the rear have a wider 21 x 10.5 fitment. Each wheel also boasts a concave depth with the wider pair showing off a deeper concave for a real muscular and powerful stance.
Although the body of this Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG didn’t change, its new set of Niche Essen M147 wheels ensure that it’s less likely to slip under the radar without taking away from its classy design.
