Supercharged American badass.

The Jeep Wrangler isn’t exactly known for its power output. It’s famous for its ability to go virtually anywhere off road right off the factory floor. The team at Starwood Customs wanted to add some adrenaline to the Jeep Wrangler so they created the Bandit – a custom Jeep Wrangler with long-bed pickup conversion, supercharged 7.0-liter HEMI V-8 engine, Moto Metal wheels, and lots of Kevlar body work among a host of other goodies.

The Bandit body conversion for the SUV started off with a full 36-inch frame extension with fully boxed framerail extensions and crossmembers to maintain stability and rigidity. A modified cab enclosure and functional Freedom Top, long-bed pickup box with sheetmetal outer portions, tailgate, and bulkhead creates a show-stopper on the road, especially with the new Jeep Wrangler wheels. A full Kevlar suit was also installed to make up the body and includes everything from the fender flares housing the Moto Metal wheels to the engine bay, door jambs, and roll bars. A 50-inch light bar and Military Tan exterior paint give the SUV a rugged and powerful look.

Driving all four of those new Jeep Wrangler wheels is a massive and potent 7.0-liter HEMI engine that’s a rare sight for such a vehicle. The engine also sports a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger with powdercoated bronze burst engine components. A custom exhaust with black tip lets out a ferocious roar, while the transmission has been rebuilt and strengthened to handle the power. In total, 1,200 horsepower can be sent to all four of the Moto Metal wheels thanks to a Fore Innovations high-output fuel system.

Beneath the Kevlar body of the Bandit sits a hardcore suspension setup that keeps the Jeep Wrangler wheels planted to any kind of terrain. A TeraFlex Long-Arm light allows for the height to be raised from 6.0- to 12-inches and wears a Bronze Burst powdercoating. Fox Racing shocks with Synergy Suspension rear extended shock/coilover setups and Currie Antor Rock sway bars all work to keep things cool no matter how big the obstacle. Ford 9.0-inch full floating axles and 5.38:1 gears finish off the chassis.

Meeting the sand, mud, dirt, or snow are new Moto Metal wheels. The factory Jeep Wrangler wheels were removed for the Moto Metal 962 rims in a 22 x 14 fitment at the front and rear. The new black/machined-finished rims wear Nitto Mud Grappler tires measuring a meaty 40 x 22 to grab at anything in their path.

The new Jeep Wrangler Bandit conversion wasn’t finished there. New bumpers were installed with strong winches to pull itself or a friend out of any situation. Revised lighting allows for fun driving after the sun sets on the trails and new power steps make access to the lifted SUV easier.

The new Bandit conversion is available for all Jeep Wranglers from Starwood Customs.
