We’ve seen many Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicons littered with all of their all terrain goodies but this one is especially eye catching for its list of upgrades and quality. These featured pictures should be saved into your memory banks because it’s going to be at home in the mud, dirt, and rock soon and won’t be looking this pretty for long. The 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon may have had all the right stuff for the job from the factory but was outfitted with new ATX Wheels, off road tires, bumpers, body work, and more to make it even more proficient and tough through the rough terrain.
The new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 hidden under the dark green sheetmetal is poised to pound away at anything. The engine drives all four of the ATX Wheels with ease thanks to a new superchip programming system. The new software tuning pushes output past the 285 horsepower, 265 lb-ft. of torque mark by adjusting a number of variables such as ignition, timing, etc. to create more power, reliably.
Armed with a more potent engine, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon was ready to have the chassis upgraded. Here, a new set of ATX Wheels, off road tires, and other suspension bits were added to make overcoming obstacles easier. A new Skyjacker six-inch long arm suspension system was installed for a higher ride height and more ground clearance. Attached to the end of the longer suspension is a set of new AX186 ATX Wheels in an 18-inch diameter with a black finish and silver outer rim with black bolts. The new rims also wear some Falken WildPeak A/T Tires that measure 37 x 13.50 R18 and are more than capable of clawing away at any mud, dirt, or gravel in their paths.
Showing off that go anywhere attitude is new bodywork on the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Both the front and rear bumpers were swapped out for tougher new ARB 4X4 units along with the tire carrier and dual-beam lights up front. The front fascia also sports a new Superwinch kit that allows the Jeep to get itself or others out of any sticky situation. With the greater amount of suspension travel, new ATX Wheels, and off road tires, new Bushwhacker fender flares were installed to accommodate along with hardened body armor.
To finish off the heavy duty Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, new upgrades such as Daystar Accessories hood wranglers, upper dashboard panels, switch panels, and tail boxes were added.
The 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon has all the makings of a fun and dirty weekend off-roader.
