Are you ready to witness an amazing vehicle that’s made for hoonage? Well, this modified Barbie Mustang is just what the drift doctor ordered. It’s a bad ass homemade machine based on a go kart chassis with a Honda engine, custom wheels, and a classic pink Barbie Ford Mustang body.
The guys at Grind Hard Plumbing Co. have built some crazy things over the years and it’s all on their YouTube channel. However, this is easily one of the coolest builds of all time. This isn’t your average Power Wheels 12V Barbie Ford Mustang, it’s a Pink drift machine that’s just oozing fun.
The team went on Craigslist and bought a beat-up old go kart that needed some work in order to get running. The Mustang was torn apart along with the Go Kart, which formed the chassis. New engine mounts were welded to the front of the chassis and the Honda 240 cc air-cooled four-stroke dirt bike engine was installed to drive the rear custom wheels. The suspension and more was then installed to form the perfect chassis.
The Pink Barbie Ford Mustang body was then modified to fit the new chassis and installed for a rather hilarious look. New custom wheels were also installed along with some sticky rubber for grip.
After the toy monster was built, it was time to drift!
The Grind Hard Plumbing Co team strapped on a GoPro and got some cameras to record the motorcycle-powered Pink Barbie Mustang sliding around on its custom wheels on some empty pavement. At one point, the Mustang almost ended up going down the hill into the forest, but thankfully, the driver was able to stop right before making the plunge. That’s a close call!
