Who said plug-in hybrids can’t have fun and look good too with a new set of TSW Wheels? The debate so the alternative powertrains will go on forever with car enthusiasts between those who are dedicated to burning fuel and those that have a more progressive, greener idea for propulsion.
Regardless, this Chevrolet Volt with new TSW Wheels is pretty freaking cool.
The Chevrolet Volt showcases the latest and greatest in plug-in hybrid technology from the American automaker. A usable 16 kWh lithium-ion battery pack is charged through plugging it into an electric outlet via a special charging cord or through driving systems. An electric motor with 149 peak horsepower output and 274 lb-ft. of torque allows for an all-electric range between 35 and 38 miles, while a 1.4-liter inline-four cylinder engine produces 80 horsepower to keep the battery charged and those TSW Wheels spinning with ease!
While plug-in hybrids often get an unfair stereotype as being the farthest thing from a true driver’s car, this Chevrolet Volt and its new TSW Wheels is looking to change that with some style and lightweight performance. The new TSW Nurburgring rims were installed in a 19 x 8.5 setup at the front and rear with black chrome lug nuts and a gunmetal finish.
The new TSW Nurburgring wheels weigh a mere 22 lbs. each keeping the rotating mass as low as possible compared to other aftermarket rims. New 245/40 ZR19 Toyo Proxes 4 Plus all-season tires are fitted to each wheel with good grip ratings.
While the Chevrolet Volt might not be the fastest nor the best handler, it still looks phenomenal with this new set of TSW Nurburgring wheels.
