Continuing the Midnight Edition theme in the lineup.
Chevrolet is making things more enjoyable for customers that want to have their own unique vehicle with custom wheels, colors, and more thanks to a variety of factory packages. One of the most popular is the Midnight Edition package that has been featured on other Chevrolet vehicles and has now made its way to the Trax.
“Introduced just a year ago, the Trax has quickly become an important vehicle for Chevrolet, bringing in new, younger and more female buyers to the brand,” said Betsy Flegg, senior marketing manager, Chevrolet Crossovers. “The small SUV segment is the fastest growing in the industry and models such as the new Trax Midnight Edition provides customers an expressive option.”
The Chevrolet Trax has been a very popular model in Chevy’s lineup and the optional Midnight Edition package with black themed body, custom wheels, and more looks to build on that further. In the first 11 months of 2015, the Trax sold almost 58,000 units while Chevrolet’s overall crossover sales were up by 35-percent in the same timeframe.
The new Chevrolet Trax Midnight Edition includes a set of black custom wheels, black bezels, beltline moulding, and black door handles. Even the rear license plate holder is black. Once inside, customers are greeted by black seats with grey accents. Each floor mat also sports gray piping to match the new color scheme.
The new Midnight Edition with custom wheels is based on the Chevrolet Trax LTZ that packs a 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine returning an EPA-estimated 34 mpg highway on front-wheel drive models.
The new Chevrolet Trax Midnight Edition will go on sale in late February of 2016. The special edition model will be priced at $500 on top of the Trax LTZ’s $26,125 MSRP.
