There’s nothing out there with the tenacity and capability of the Ford SVT Raptor right from the factory. In order to get that kind of off road performance, you have to either go aftermarket or buy a Trophy Truck. When aftermarket upgrades start to be added to the SVT Raptor, things get a little out of control – in a fun way, that is. Just take this Ford SVT Raptor with Fuel Wheels, King Shocks and lots of other goodies from Addictive Desert Designs.
Right from the factory, the Ford SVT Raptor is packing a potent V-8 engine. The naturally-aspirated, 6.2-liter V-8 sends a total of 411 horsepower at 5,500 RPM and 434 lb-ft. of torque at 4,500 RPM to all four of the newly installed Fuel Wheels. That’s good enough to send it flying over jumps and through any type of terrain with ease.
While Ford poured quite a bit of engineering and motorsports knowledge from Trophy Trucks into the SVT Raptor, the team at Addictive Desert Designs thought they could improve on it all even more with a list of upgrades ranging from the new Fuel Wheels to new suspension.
All of the factory rims and tires were swapped out and replaced with a new set of Fuel Trophy rims. The new eight-spoke Fuel wheels measure 20 x 9.0 at the front and rear and sport a slick black finish to match the aftermarket black accents all over the body. Each one of the Trophy wheels is shod in 35/12.5 R20 Fuel Mud Gripper M/T tires for ultimate traction.
After the new wheels were fitted, the chassis was tuned and lifted for more ground clearance. New King Shocks and a variety of other custom upgrades were installed, making this SVT Raptor a serious off roading machine.
