Get those Wheels and Tires Down and Dirty in the Pipeline from Hell!

Good Friday ride at Sabine River Rats in Marshall, Texas!

Another spring event in the books.

Get your hose, sponge, and soap out, because it’s going to take a long time to clean out all of the mud and muck from the annual Good Friday ride at Sabine River Rats in Marshall, Texas! The event sees trucks and SUVs from all over the country put their wheels and tires in the mud in an attempt to get to the end without getting stuck.

As you can see, doing so is very, very difficult.

Basically, the goal here is to get your truck or SUV to the end of this virtually unpassable “pipeline”. The pipeline is a stretch of deep mud, water, and muck that swallows wheels and tires like nobody’s business. The strategy is to basically step on the throttle and hope that you don’t get eaten by the muddy monster – which almost always happens.

It doesn’t matter how big your wheels and tires are, how much displacement your motor has, and how high your suspension sits; this stretch of mud will get you.

There have only been a few that have managed to make it across without getting stuck and having to be towed out. This year, Jeepers Creepers was the only competitor whose wheels and tires almost made it across. A few bystanders caused them to lift off the throttle and get stuck to avoid a collision and injury.
