Bricks off road fun.
Twice a year, Brick’s Off Road Park in Poplar Bluff, MO, hosts the Trucks Gone Wild event that has vehicles from around the country come for a good time of off-road fun. The muddy course includes one challenge that sees only the best vehicles and their truck wheels survive, and boy is it fun to watch.
Organizers dig a long, deep ditch and fill it with water for the ‘Slough Challenge’. The game here sees off-road vehicles go inside the deep, muddy, water-filled ditch and try to get out as their truck wheels and tires spin away, churning through terrain.
The Slough Challenge is almost impossible for drivers to complete. The deep ditch makes things difficult for drivers as they put the power down to the truck wheels with tires just eating away at the muddy banks. As they continue to eat away, they dig themselves a deeper and deeper hole that’s seemingly impossible to get out of.
Some, however, are able to get all four of their truck wheels and tires out of the muddy mess thanks to a bit of luck and some driving skill. Almost everyone else, however, ends up stuck in the mud.
