Part of what makes off roading so special is the fact that you get to experience a part of nature. It allows people to enjoy the beautiful wilderness and experience things that you wouldn’t normally be able to in regular day to day life. These enthusiasts like to put their tires and wheels down on one of the toughest trails in the United States every year and spread the love.
The Rubicon Trail is a 22-mile long trail in the Sierra Neada between Sacramento, California and Lake Tahoe. Its home to beautiful wilderness, wildlife, and scenery – and off road tires and wheels.
Here, off road enthusiasts love to get down and dirty on the challenging trail, pushing the limits of their vehicles, its parts, tires and wheels. It’s also a place where enthusiasts come to enjoy nature and spend time with others in events like the Jeepers Jamboree and annual Jeep Jamboree. These two events – one for adults and one for families – allows people to enjoy nature and pass that same passion down to a new generation.
Nitto Tire was on hand for the 65th Jeepers Jamboree and 39th annual Jeep Jamboree in 2017 where they drove through parts of the Rubicon trail with their off road machines. Purpose built, heavily modified vehicles put their tires and wheels in the dirt, water, rock, gravel, sand, and other terrain as they moved through the great wilderness in the unique events.
