When it comes to premium sport sedans, Infiniti is carving out a market of its own with the Q50. The Japanese luxury sport sedan has the ability to compete with its German competition as well as that from home with Acura. It also has a smooth, curvaceous style that others don’t, and it looks superb when sitting low on a set of Niche Wheels.
At the heart of this black Infiniti Q50 is a naturally-aspirated 3.7-liter V-6 engine. The Nissan VQ37VHR isn’t afraid to show a bit of its snarl and generates a healthy 328 horsepower at 7,000 RPM and 269 lb-ft. of torque at 7,000 RPM to the rear Niche Wheels. It’s no slouch and can easily keep up with the competition in that regard.
But the part that differentiates this Infiniti Q50 from your standard premium sedans is its new stance and Niche Wheels. The factory suspension has been modified with a new set of BC coilovers that drops the ride height considerably and tucks the new Niche Verona – M151 rims under the fenders after an alignment. While reducing the center of gravity is normally reserved for improving performance, here, it’s all about looks.
The new Niche Verona – M151 rims also fit in perfectly. The seven-spoke concave alloys stand out from the black body and add a more muscular definition to the Infiniti. Each one of the Niche Wheels wears a fresh Brushed Silver finish that perfectly contrasts the factory paint. At the front and rear, the Verona – M151s measure 20 x 10.5 and wear low-profile 245/30 R20 tires for a tight stance.
While the Germans and other might be concerned with performance, this Infiniti Q50 is all about style.
