Jeep enthusiasts have had April 4th marked on their calendars for quite some time and for good reason. It’s 4×4 Day, and the day that the new 2020 Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition will be available to order through the Jeep website’s new concierge site. The new Launch Edition model will come with new features, badging, truck rims, and interior accents while being limited to just 4,190 units.
“The anticipation for the all-new Jeep Gladiator has been tremendous, and to mark the introduction of the first Jeep pickup truck in nearly 30 years, we are offering a distinctive model, a convenient online ordering experience and the opportunity for a very special prize,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Jeep Brand – North America. “Jeep Gladiator enables the one-of-a-kind Jeep lifestyle. But, to enjoy that lifestyle you need time. So we’re offering that, in the form of one-year’s salary, to the winner, so he or she can truly enjoy the outdoors, pursuing any adventure in their all-new Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition.”
The new Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition will be available for online ordering on April 4th, 2019. Customers will be able to fully configure, finance, and order their vehicle through the new Jeep Gladiator Concierge service. In the end, they will be put in contact with a dealer to complete the process. Each buyer will also be eligible to receive a $100,000 one-year salary to enable them to go on their own adventure with the Gladiator. Customers will submit a video that will be judged by the Jeep brand as well as Wounded Warrior and U.S. Army veteran, Noah Galoway, who will choose the winner.
The new Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition will come standard with a forged aluminum tailgate badge along with special 17-inch Gloss Black aluminum truck rims. New 33-inch Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires also come standard. Inside, there’s a wrapped instrument panel mid-bolster that’s painted Monaco Silver as well as Black leather seats with contrasting Red stitching. The new Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition will be available in Black, Bright White, Billet Silver Metallic, Firecracker Red, and Granite Crystal Metallic exterior colors.
The Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition will come standard with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque. That power will be sent to all four truck rims through a six-speed manual or optional eight-speed automatic transmission.
Only 4,190 examples of the Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition will be produced, paying homage to the ‘419’ area code in Ohio where they are built. The new truck rims and 33-inch tires won’t be hitting the ground at dealerships until spring.
