White tire smoke filled the air of Wall Stadium Speedway in Wall, NJ as Round 4: The Gaunlet of the Formula DRIFT Pro Series came to a close. In the end, it saw Fredric Aasbo of the Hankook Tire Scion Racing tC with Motegi Wheels take the overall victory for the first time.

A sold out crowd was there to witness Aasbo and his Hankook Tire Scion Racing tC with Motegi Wheels take the victory after an intense battle with current points leader, Chris Forsberg in the Hankook Tire Nissan 370Z. The two talented drivers battled hard during the Round 4: The Gaunlet at Wall Stadium Speedway and it wasn’t until Forsberg made a mistake that Aasbo was able to take the victory. With the overall win, Aasbo moves into second place for the Championship standings.

“This has been such a long time coming. This is my dream from ten years ago when I first started watching Formula DRIFT,” said Fredric Aasbo. “I want to thank my team into turning the Scion tC into such a championship contender. We have had our trials and tribulations, but this is proof that I have the best team in the business.”

Coming in third place in Round 4: The Gaunlet was Aurimas “Odi” Bakchis driving the Feal Suspension/Nitto Tire Nissan 240 SX. The win moves him into fifth place in the Championship standings.

The next Formula DRIFT event will be Round 5: Throdown at Evergreen Speedway on July 18th to 19th with Dredric Aasbo and the Hankook Tire Scion Racing tC with Motegi Wheels looking to take another win.
