It’s four-door muscle car time!
Dodge successfully excited goers of the 2014 New York International Auto Show when they unveiled their new 2015 Charger. The new Charger took a step back in time by taking some of the best design characteristics of the legendary muscle car it’s named after and applying them in a modern way on the new eighth-generation model. Everything from the new Dodge Charger wheels to the standard 3.6-liter V-6 engine echoed muscle and performance. Now, MOPAR is offering up a great deal of upgrades for the newest generation of the four-door muscle car with upgrades such as staggered wheel and tire packages, new performance engine parts, and styling equipment inside and out.
Driving those big rear Dodge Charger wheels is either the standard 3.6-liter V-6 engine or the big, powerful 5.7-liter HEMI V-8. The standard engine spits out a healthy dose of power with 292 horses and 260 lb-ft. of torque hitting the pavement through the array of staggered wheel and tire packages offered through MOPAR. Checking off the HEMI option box gets a mighty 5.7-liter V-8 engine laying down a thundering 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft. of torque, paired up with the standard eight-speed automatic transmission.
A total of 370 horsepower being sent to those rear Dodge Charger wheels is impressive, but when it’s paired up with the new MOPAR accessories that range from new staggered wheel and tire packages to decal sets, and engine modifications, things get a bit more intense.
“The new Dodge Charger and Challenger are amped and ready to hit the streets and so is the MOPAR brand with all the added accessories enthusiasts crave,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO — MOPAR, Chrysler Group LLC’s service, parts and customer-care brand. “We are committed to assisting owners in personalizing each new Chrysler Group vehicle as soon as it is introduced, and even before driving away from the dealership when they use our MOPAR Custom Shop option.”
“Fresh off the launch of the Dodge Scat Pack performance stage kits, Dodge and MOPAR are teaming up again to help owners customize their iconic muscle cars,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO — Dodge Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “And whether the customer wants to add different stripes, lower the suspension or add a cat-back exhaust, the new 2015 Charger and Challenger are the perfect vehicles to upfit with all the latest MOPAR accessories.”
Starting things off in the performance department are new engine modifications. The MOPAR list of accessories includes a cat-back exhaust system and cold air intake systems to go along with the range of Skat Pack stage kits. The chassis can also benefit from MOPAR with upgrades such as a lowering kit and anti-roll bar kit to go along with the range of staggered wheel and tire packages. Hiding behind those big Dodge Charger wheels is a new big brake kit from MOPAR as well.
In addition to the performance goodies, MOPAR offers up some slick stripes, decals, spoilers, and other exterior design highlights to set the Charger apart from the pack. Even inside, MOPAR serves up some high-tech additions along with customized trims and more. In all, there are over 100 different accessories available from MOPAR for the 2015 Dodge Charger.
