February 7th, 2014 is an important date for off-road racing and motorsport enthusiasts. It marks the start of the off-road racing season and is the start of the 2014 Griffin King of the Hammers desert competition. Located in the small desert in Johnson Valley, CA, the King of the Hammers is a brutal test of man and machine incorporating both high-speed areas along with a very technical rock crawl.
Motorsports is one of the best ways to prove a products durability, toughness, reliability, and performance, so ATX Wheels are coming back to the 2014 Griffin King of the Hammers competition. The ATX Wheels team will be supporting some of the top competitors with their new ATX Slab and Chamber Pro II wheels.
For 2014, ATX Wheels will be backing drivers Loren Healy, Nick Nelson, Derek West and Randy Rodd along with fan-favorite Mel Wade, who will be doing double-stints in the Every Man Challenge on Thursday and then the main event in his upgraded Jeep JK. Also under the ATX Wheels support will be Jim Brown of Relentless Motorsports, who will participate in the Last Chance Qualifier to earn a starting spot before the race.
The 2014 Griffin King of the Hammers competition provides the perfect proving ground for ATX Wheels who will be showcasing their ATX Slab and Chamber Pro II wheels throughout the competition on a number of different trucks. The event pushes the limits of durability and reliability, proving the worth of each component.
The ATX Wheels team will be at the 2014 Griffin King of the Hammers competition in Hammertown with a display showcasing a selection of wheels and vehicles.
