Hurricane Harvey Truck Wheels Rescue

Volunteers coming through.

In case you missed it, Hurricane Harvey has left utter devastation and destruction in Houston, Texas, and other parts of the state. The flooding and damage is unbelievable and it’s going to take a very long time and a lot of help to get the region back to normal. Thankfully, there are volunteers like these with their monster truck wheels that are ready to save the day.

The absurd amount of rain that Hurricane Harvey has dumped on Houston and other areas is unbelievable. Many roads and areas were under feet of water, making it impossible for normal vehicles to get through. Only those with boats or lifted vehicles with massive truck wheels like these were able to have any success with driving anywhere.

Thankfully, everything is bigger in Texas and that remains true with their vehicles. When the National Guard came in to aid in evacuating, helping, and rescuing, they found themselves in a bit of trouble on a few occasions as well. The driver of one truck mis-judged how deep the water was and got stuck in deep water, unable to get those truck wheels free.

All hope may have seemed lost, but a couple of volunteers nearby were prepared to help out. Thankfully, their vehciles were lifted considerably higher than your average car, truck, or SUV, and they packed some serious off road truck wheels. This allowed them to move through many of the flooded areas without getting stuck or hydrolocking their engines.

This duo hooked a tow strap to the stuck National Guard truck and were able to pull it out and to safety.

Hats off to these folks and all of those risking their lives to help others affected by Hurricane Harvey!
