If you’re looking to have a good time and don’t have the money to shell out for an off road truck or SUV – let alone any kind of cheap rims – Extreme Barbie Jeep racing is just for you. This crazy and sometimes dangerous sport is for those looking to just have fun in an unconventional way.
Using plastic toy Jeeps and other cars, these “Barbie Jeeps” are ridden downhill by adults in an effort to stay on to the bottom. These plastic toys with cheap rims and virtually no suspension make riding down a course akin to attempting to stay on a bucking bull with a tad bit less likelihood of being injured.
At the 2017 King of the Hammers, the second-annual King of the Barbie Jeep was held at Johnson Valley, California. The event comprised of two teams from different online Jeep forums dressing in costumes and having a good time as they put their cheap rims down a sandy hill.
JK Forum took home the win at the 2016 event while the Jeep Asylum forum was fighting back in 2017 with their Power Wheels vehicles. At the end of the day, no matter who won, it was all about the thrills, spills, and fun with these cheap rims at one of the biggest off road events in the world.
Who said that adults can’t play with kid’s toys?
