Holy Hellcat!

Dodge isn’t new to the muscle car game. The HEMI helped rule the 60s and 70s with its innovative design, big displacement, and high power figures powering all sorts of Dodge and Plymouth vehicles as they waged war against the likes of Ford, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, and others. In recent years, the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, and Dodge Challenger have been battling it out with the aforementioned two being the most like true sports cars. The Challenger has stuck to its traditional roots as a straight-line muscle car and the new Challenger SRT Hellcat spinning its Dodge Challenger wheels with a whopping 707 horsepower is the king.

The new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is the most powerful muscle car ever and has the most powerful V-8 engine that Dodge has ever produced. A 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine sends an incredible 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft. of torque to each of the rear forged Dodge Challenger wheels with ease. There’s so much power that one of the fog lights doubles as a RAM air intake to help keep a constant stream of cool air flowing. A red key fob and black key fob are needed for the muscle car. The latter is kept as a valet key and only has 500 horsepower while many of the electronic aids cannot be disabled. With the red key fob, the full power output is unleashed and drivers can unlock the car’s full potential.

Two different transmissions are available in the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. A strong six-speed manual transmission will allow drivers to row through the gears as they see fit while a reinforced TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic will help handle every single pony as it reaches the rear axle.

Attention was also paid to the chassis. Here, the muscle car wears 9.5 x 20 front and rear forged Dodge Challenger wheels with an optional Brass Monkey/Dark Bronze finish. On those forged Dodge Challenger wheels sit Pirelli P Zero Nero tires in a P275/40ZR20 size. New six-piston calipers clench down on 390 mm, two-piece Brembo rotors and provide excellent stopping power.

The design of the Challenger SRT Hellcat recalls the classic 1970s styling of the Challenger. A vintage 1971-inspired grille, dual hood air extractors, and the powerful rear fender shoulder line make it a modern classic. New aerodynamics have also been added on at the front and rear axles to make the muscle car more stable at high speeds as well.

The new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is mean and a true muscle car that you should watch out for on the road and drag strip.
