While true muscle cars have seemingly gone extinct from the American automaker’s lineup, compared to decades past, a few like the Dodge Charger have survived with its big-displacement V-8 engine and rear-wheel drive layout. This 2014 Dodge Charger R/T with Scat Pack 1, Rockstar rims, and other goodies ensure that the muscle car beasts still live on strong.
Putting the ‘muscle’ in ‘muscle car’ for this Dodge Charger R/T is the powerful naturally-aspirated 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 that sits beneath the hood and powers the rear Rockstar rims. In standard form, the V-8 churns out 370 horsepower at 5,250 RPM and 395 lb-ft. of torque at 4,200 RPM, but since the magic Scat Pack 1 option box was checked on this model, there’s even more. The package includes a new MOPAR cold air intake, cat-back exhaust system, and new software tune calibrated specifically for the 5.7-liter HEMI engine to create even more power with a thundering note. New Scat Package badging also sets it apart from the pack.
Visually, this Dodge Charger R/T also gains a few extra goodies in addition to the beefed up engine and Rockstar rims. The sinister black paint also covers an SRT hood that allows cooler air to reach the mighty V-8 engine beneath. New Halo fog and headlights lend the muscle car a mesmerizing stare at night while tracking tail lights add to the overall presence.
To finish off the mighty American muscle car, a new set of Rockstar rims were added. The KCM Rockstar wheels were installed in a 20 x 9.0 front and rear setup for a wide, five-spoke fitment. The three-dimensional look is also complemented with a slick black finish to create a true show-stopper.
