It’s all about the drive.

BMW is known for their performance-oriented driver’s cars that are right at home weaving though the turns and corners as their engines churn out the power. The long legacy of driver’s cars coming from the Bavarian automaker stretches back decades and they have a very loyal following because of this characteristic. One of the newer cars that have the driver-oriented pedigree is the M135i three- and five-door hatchback. The hatchback design may be a bit new to the German automaker and its consumers but it is no less of a driver’s oriented car packed with excitement, especially when it’s wearing a set of BBS SR wheels.

Part of what makes the BMW M135i such a fun and thrilling car to drive is the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six cylinder engine that spins the rear BBS SR wheels. The turbocharged engine cranks out a mighty 316 horsepower at 5,800 RPM and 332 lb-ft. of torque from 1,250 to 5,000 RPM, allowing for a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 4.9 or 5.1 seconds depending on the transmission choice.

This new F20-generation BMW M135i is more than capable of going fast, but the corners are where it really shines and shows off its performance. The factory rim and tire setup has been upgraded for both style and dynamics. A new set of BBS SR wheels were installed in a wider 18 x 8.0 setup that utilize the factory OEM Michelin SuperSport tires that are capable of tremendous amounts of grip.

But the new rim and tire fitment wasn’t finished there. The BMW M135i was outfitted with a new set of Eibach adjustable springs that reduce the overall ride height along with a number of other parameters. These springs sharpen up handling and bring the BBS SR wheels in closer to the fenders for a clean fitment.

The final touch on this BMW M135i is a new 90 mm Bastuck black box exhaust system that allows the turbocharged engine to let out a more menacing roar throughout the rev range.

The BMW M135i might not be the fastest or most powerful in the lineup, but with a set of BBS SR wheels, it’s quite the looker.
